Mark..I look forward to your last call articles and appreciate most of all the article supporting our friend Tom Crews for Mayor. The flyer in todays Packet with your article included with Tom''s Letter of commitment to our Island just jumped out of the paper! Thank you for your support for Tom. And o anyone out there that is reading this on election day, please trust your vote, please vote Tom Crews for Mayor, knowing you are casting a very important vote for the future of our Island. A vote for an extremely dedicated, hard working longtime member of our community, whose LEADERSHIP AND INTEGRITY is unmatched, is the vote for Tom Crewsfor Mayor.

Mark...love reading your insightful Last Call articles. I have lived in Sea Pines for 20 years as well as Atlanta. My business...a wine importer... takes me all over the country....big cities, medium size cities, and resort communities. Last week I was in Jacksonville on business and then worked my way by car up to HHI stopping in Amelia Island, Ponte Vedra Beach, and St Simons...what HHI needs the most is a town center...a downtown...it dosn''t have this and probably never will. Young people...I am talking 21-30... are just not going to stay here...nothing for them...the beach, boating, and drinking in a few bars just gets old...there is a lack on energy here...I here this over and over.

Now that I have totally settled into this great community I find myself digging deep into assisting the community reinvent itself. Why? Because it needs serious help and a new direction.
There are so many people living here who fear change. Hilton Head Island can be an incredible draw with some forward thinking and planning. The airport expansion is critical to our economic well being.
When you view towns like Aspen, CO. you see change. You see the younger successful business people moving there because they can actually fly their jets into that airport. More importantly because they are now virtual they are even move their entire corporations there due to the quality of life. There is nothing wrong by being a so called FAT CAT. Fat Cats make the economy work. We should be an island that welcomes FAT CATs. It''s jobs, tax revenue, and happier people when everyone is doing well.
Let''s get off the dime and make it happen.

Good Morning Mr. Frey~

I appreciate your discussions (online and in print) on local "green" topics. Please continue. I want to make you aware of a new Facebook group that I started last week as a place for green minded people to gather and discuss the green businesses and organizations on and around Hilton Head Island and our election candidates. There is an ongoing list of local green resources that grows every day.

I invite you to take a look! Thank you for all the work you are doing to bring important and sometime difficult issues to the forefront.

Be well, Carla.

A concise and well structured argument. Wonderful to read something that points out that the glass is half full with a " can do " perspective.
